About 5.2 million Swiss citizens, including registered members of the Swiss Abroad community, were eligible to take part in the June 14 votes.
About 197,000 people, mainly Swiss expatriates, were allowed to participate in ongoing trials with electronic voting.
Votes also took place on a broad range of issues in several cantons and communes across the country.
It was the second and the final set of nationwide ballots this year. Elections for parliament are scheduled in October ahead of cabinet elections in December.
